Helping our community to reflect and refocus through the Matariki season.

Matariki is a time of reflection and refocus. Hiwa-i-te-rangi is one of the 9 stars in the Matariki whānau. As this star rises we share our inspiration for the year ahead. We wanted to inspire our team and extended whānau in the creative community

to share their vision for the year ahead. We invited people to share their vision through an online wānanga and then sent all participants an artwork to thank them for being part of the kōrero.

Creative

We created an artistic package of encouragement to reset and refresh.

We encouraged people to enjoy the free letter pressed art and share with us how they intend to gain some much needed renewal, reflection and reconnection. People shared their thoughts through social media, in personal emails and over teas and hot chocolates as we returned back to work.

Summary

A great way to build better relationships with people through kōrero.

There was a unified response from our community. People were inspired by improving health and wellbeing, more focus on family and having more authentic, meaningful cultural connection. We really value the aspirations of our community. We’re all striving to achieve the same things.

Our vision for the year ahead is that we do better at making people our focus, not projects. We reset our focus on being human centred, not just in our design process, but in our daily interactions with each other. To stop and eat as a team. To leave early more often when we need to be at home. To thank each other for our contributions.
