Whāriki Brand & Digital

8 Jun 2022

Whāriki is a place to connect, to weave the bonds of whanaungatanga, to advance Māori economic success and entrepreneurial excellence. We worked with the passionate team at Whāriki to create their new brand and digital platform.

A whāriki is a woven mat, revealing beautiful and meaningful cultural symbolism.

Whāriki are used in cultural events as a place for speakers to address an audience, or as part of marriage ceremonies.

Here, the whāriki expresses a defined space, where Māori cultural values of relationship building and cultural identity are a foundation for Māori economic success.

The word mark is framed in a rectangle, representing the whāriki. This can then have the various takiwā areas where Whāriki has a community.

He mihi whakamiha ki ngā ringa wera o Whāriki. E mihi atu nei ki a koutou mō te tautoko i ngā wā katoa ki ngā pakihi Māori.
